Itinerary
Day 1 Transfer to the Horcones Valley (2,950 m), where the trek begins and after a short day, around 4 hours, we arrive at our camp, Confluencia (3,390m).
Day 2 Trek to Plaza Francia, look-out of the South Face of Mount Aconcagua. Lunch, rest, and return to Confluencia.
Day 3 Confluencia- Horcones Valley - to Mendoza.
Aconcagua Hiking, Plaza Argentina
Base camp of traverse route, guided trekking program
In the oriental slope of the Aconcagua, on the foot of the Poles glacier, is located the Plaza Argentina base camp. For being one of the routes of ascension with less traffic, it is possible to cohabit in a much virgin natural atmosphere, where the man`s hands has not been able to modify its primitive characteristics.
Itinerary
Day 1 - Mendoza / Penitentes
Reception in Mendoza City. Permits requestion. Transfer to Penitentes, lodging.
Day 2 Penitentes / Punta de Vacas / Pampa de Leñas
Transfer to Punta de Vacas. Trek to Pampa de Leñas (3050 mts), where we will mount our first camp.
Day 3 Pampa de Leñas / Casa de Piedra
We will cross the Vacas’s river, to continue heading for Casa de Piedra where we will carry out our second camp. From here we will have the first view of the east face of Cº Aconcagua and of the Polish's glacier.
Day 4 Casa de Piedra / Plaza Argentina
We will overcome Relinchos's valley until arriving at Plaza Argentina. Assemble of the camp.
Day 5 Plaza Argentina
Rest in Plaza Argentina.
Day 6 Plaza Argentina
Trekking for Plaza Argentina's surroundings.
Day 7 Plaza Argentina / Pampa de Leñas
Return to Pampa de Leñas.
Day 8 Pampa de Leña / Punta de Vacas / Mendoza
Trek to Punta de Vacas and transfer to hotel in Mendoza.
Aconcagua Hiking, Plaza Francia and Plaza de Mulas
Base camp of normal route, guided trekking program.
This trek takes us to the first high base camp called Comfluencia 3300 mts where we spend the night.The next day we walk towards Plaza Francia 4200 mts, base camp of the famous South Face. The following day take the road to Plaza de Mulas 4200 mts, where we can rest and tour the high camp surrounded by glaciers, mountains and view summit of Cerro Aconcagua.

Day 1 - Mendoza
Reception in Mendoza City. Permits requestion. Transfer to Penitentes, lodging.
Day 2 Mendoza - Penitentes / Horcones / Confluencia
Transfer to the Aconcagua Provincial Park. Trek to Confluencia (3350 mts), where we will mount our first camp.
Day 3 Confluencia / Plaza Francia / Confluencia
Trek to Plaza Francia (South Face of the Aconcagua Base camp, 4200 mts). Return to Confluencia.
Day 4 Confluencia / Plaza de Mulas
Trek to Plaza de Mulas hotel (4230 mts).
Day 5 Plaza de Mulas
Rest in Plaza de Mulas.
Day 6 Plaza de Mulas
Breakfast. Trek to Horcones Superior Glacier. Return to Plaza de Mulas Base Camp.
Day 7 Plaza de Mulas / Horcones / Mendoza
Descent to Puente del Inca and transfer to mountain refuge in Penitentes.
Day 8 Mendoza
Transfer to Mendoza city.
Trekking Horcones / Confluencia
Included
Professional bilingual guide, box lunch (sandwich, granola bars, fruit, cookies, juice).
Not included
Transportation from Mendoza to Aconcagua. Any additional costs if the climber chooses to change the itinerary of the excursion. Included services: Reception in airport or terminal bus in Mendoza. Assistance to obtain the Aconcagua Park entrance fee. All the transfers in private vans. All meals during the expedition. Complete base camp services (meals, accommodation, etc). Mountain tent for two people. Bilingual mountain guide. All shared equipment for the expedition. Mules transportation of the equipment. 1 hotel night in Mendoza. VHF radio all the time.
